Birth control is a means to prevent pregnancy. There are many different methods of contraception. Some of these methods, the risk of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) (Which is the right pill for me?).

Birth control pill, often referred to as "the pill" is a form of birth control for women, which is taken orally to prevent pregnancy. When taken correctly, is 98% effective. Placebo pills contain no hormones and will be used if you have a menstrual cycle, expected. They will join you to remind you to start a new pack of pills after 28 days.

How can I take the first birth control pill pack?

Ask your doctor whether you should start your  birth control pill pack. You start your pill pack after your period. If you have your period the day you start your pill pack, go ahead and start the packet of pills. You will receive your next period about 25 days after the start of the pill pack.

It is best to take your tablets at the same time each day. Take the  birth control pill every day, either before breakfast or at bedtime. Some people find it useful to set a timer or set a reminder every day on a calendar.

When I start a new pack of pills?

You will start the new pack of pills on the day of the week. For example, if you start your pill pack for the first time on a Sunday, from the next pack of pills on a Sunday.
