Birth control pills
Birth control pills also come as oral contraceptives, in packages. The most common type has 3 weeks of hormone birth control pill. Some packages of
birth control pill are not for the fourth week, and few. In the fourth non-hormone week, you have your period. After the fourth week (28 days), start a new pack (Which is the right pill for me?).
For some types of
birth control pill, like Seasonique, taking 12 weeks of hormone birth control pill for the week of hormone pills or low estrogen followed. In this program, you have four periods a year. If the doctor gives an unlabeled use for other birth control pills can also have four periods a year. You take active hormone birth control pill continuously for 12 weeks followed by 1 week of sugar pills. Then begin to start a new pack. If you have bleeding for 3 months, your doctor will give you the extra estrogen.
Contraceptive patch
The contraceptive birth control pill patch is a patch [about 4.5 cm (1.75 inches)] square, which adheres well to skin. You can use it in your lower abdomen, buttocks or upper arm. Each patch releases estrogen and progestin through the skin for 7 days. During a period of 4 weeks, using a birth control pill patch weekly for 3 weeks and then no birth control pill patch for 1 week. During this week you have your period.
Control ring vaginal birth (CVR)
The birth control pill vaginal ring is small [about 5 cm (2 inches) in diameter], flexible and colorless. Solving a continuous low dose of hormones into the vagina to prevent pregnancy for that month of birth control pill.
Insert the birth control pill vaginal ring yourself and leave in place for three weeks. This ensures a flawless birth control for months. The first day of the fourth week, remove the ring and usually have a menstrual period. The exact position of the ring into the vagina is not critical for function of birth control pill.
